you cant, although they might be spent, they remain on your criminal record forever, and if a bank etc,did a CRB check it will show up.they dont ask you if you have any spent convictions, they ask if you have any convictions.
Hi,I was under the impression that once a conviction is classed as spent,I believe 5 years old, then you dont have to declare it,otherwise whats the point of a spent conviction ??
But I do know that some professions do not come under this spent conviction rule ,for example working for the prison service. On an application form they usually ask for you to declare all criminal convictions and if they not covered under the spent conviction rule they also state that this includes spent convictions.Bear in mind that this is only my opinion and its better to receive legal advice on this matter. The CAB could probably help.
