Hard Drive
Only 9gb left on H/D. cleaned disk got rid of old files. What would be the best thing to do. Could I buy a external H/D. Any help

Have you removed programmes you don't use? Made sure there are no duplicate programmes? Java is a nightmare for installing new programmes instead of updating, for example.
Delete all system restore points - that can take up a LOT of space.
External hard drives are cheap enough, though. :)

Start - control panel - performance and maintenance
Click 'system restore' in the left hand pane
Choose 'turn off system restore points' and then 'apply'.
And then be sure to turn it back on again! At this point you can reduce the space allowed for system restore.
Another way is to go through 'performance and maintenance' but click 'free up space on hard drive'
After a while a pop up box will appear - click the second tab, and tick - erase all but last system restore points. And apply.
