iRobot cleaner

Has anyone bought one of these?
iRobot can apparently vacuum your floor completely unattended.....even under beds and draweres etc.......

A friend has one and is delighted, though he wishes he had bought the 'intelligent' model that returns to its re-charging station when the batteries get low.
They're OK for light work, such as crumbs from the table, but for serious deep cleaning, or pet hairs, it's a bit light-duty.

I wouldn't get one because it would vac my pet hamster up acidentally lol...oops

oh and i just got stick insects as pets ...they wouldn't stand a chance would they ...pretending to be a stick wouldn't get them far ...the iRobot would see that as dirt.

I think therefore they have certain limitations....'intelligent' model sounds good.

I assume they are only good in flats or bungalows as they can't climb stairs??

My wife already bought one and we r pretty chuffed with it....especially looking forward to taking 'it' (or him?) with us when we move house....!
