Yes even with a landrover discovery.

I don't suggest anyone ever pulls a caravan... at all... ever!They clog up the roads and are quite dull.

But yes, you can use an auto. We use a range rover to pull the horse trailer... and auto can be preferrable when going off road (depending upon the terrain).
