No, annoying isnt it? lol There is a preview option though so in future, check on there first, just have a read through, mind you, if you're anything like me, you will only ever spot that mistake the moment your finger clicks on send! Too late :-)
No, you will be shunned by right-thinking folk ..
yeah, TCL has a piont, theere is no roome or accepatance of speellng errows on the answerbonk, so wath out ! ;-)
Isn't that too true, julie. As soon as you take your finger off the mouse button, after pressing, "submit" you discover an "oops" that you have made! Once or twice I have spotted this "oops" before I actually take my finger of the mouse button, in which case I move the cursor off "submit" and the message doesn't go through.
unless it alters the meaning or makes the Q make no sense, don;t worry about it.

if it matters, post a reply to your own Q explaining what you actually meant to say
And, jababe, as joko says, it usually doesn't matter anyway.
lol stewey, mine always go through even though i frantically try and delete as its going! Never works though :-)
Joko is right, it doesnt really matter does it, so long as it makes sense? Have you ever seen that passage of text where the letters are all mixed up apart from the first and the last? Apparently, so long as they are in place, the brain can read it perfectly well! We all make typos and spelling errors anyway, me especailly!
Actually I have a spell-checker, but I do not know where it came from. If I make a spelling mistake the word is magically underlined in red. Maybe it came with Mozilla Firefox? Anyone have a similar thing that they didn't actually download themselves?

its like playing the piano very badly an art .baldhair.
thats exactly what i meant baldhair and yep, i read it without any trouble!
i actually find it vaguely irritating when people post again just to correct a typo.

it just adds an extra email to the questioner and is pointless unless it is actually to prevent a misunderstanding
Baldhair - thats amazin! i read it without a second look- thos clever people @ cambridge!

I'm sorry Joko I am guilty for being one of those 'vaguely irritating' people. lol.
Wow that is excellent baldhair, if i hadn't just read that through no prob I wouldn't have believed that one.
Hi baldhair that was good i could read that post no problem
Thank you for all your kind words. I can't really take the credit for it though. I came across it a year or two ago in a science magazine - "New Scientist" I think. I found the whole thing as surprising as most of you obviously did.

Funny old world, ain't it?
