Never had enough of them in the first place but I can't help wondering:

i) where will all the old English 20 notes go?

ii) how long we have to spend them before they are withdrawn as legal tender?

FYI - I'm a keen amateur collector and if anyone would like to retire their old English 20 notes to a good home where they'll be well looked after, feel free to forward them on...

i) they will be gradually collected by the Bank of England and burned in an incinerator.

ii) the BoE will give advance warning of the date when the notes will be withdrawn from circulation. Genuine BoE notes that have been withdrawn from circulation retain their face value for all time and can be exchanged with the BoE.
