I was watching question time last night and I want to make a few point regarding the panel comment and mostly the audience;

Tony Benn was on the show saying how disgraceful it was when a country took action without the support of the UN.

My Point;
Did he ever moan when America and ?Britain went into Kosovo and saved the lives of hundred of thousand ethic Albanian (muslims)? Does the world forget that war in 1999? We brought Milosevic to trial and rid the world of a herrendous man.

2nd point
A member of the audience who was a women in her middle ages said "afganistan would be better off with the TEleban running the country"

My point
The teleban rule was one of the worst dictatorships in the history of planet earth. Women were stoned to death for getting raped, they were not allow education, heaqlthcare, men could beat them for no reason. This is a totally uneducated view by this women and is quite frankly appallling. We gave the Teleban the chance to hand over Mr bin Laden and said they wouldn't. Bush gave them 10 days to hand him over so they faced the consquences.

3rd point
We armed Iraq in its war with Iran

My point Yes we may have but we supported the soviet union in the 2nd war and that led to confrontation for n50 years after. Was that wrong? Should we have attacked moscow after we capture berlin? My point is that you have to pick the best of the two evils (like we chose the USSR over the NAzis) and then ndeal with the other one later.
