'the wild blue yonder' (imples you don't know exactly where); 'across the pond' (means America when spoken in Britain)
"In foreign" is a local expression here
Do mean if an expression used abroad is used here?
Can think of any? I've heard Americans use sayings i thought to be of British origin, but there no translation issues there.
I like the French "L'esprit de l'escalier" it means "Spirit of the Staircase"
