i travel to work each day in my car but get no expenses from work can i claim anything from the government im not self employed

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.if that is the case, your company wuld reimburse you, not the taxpayer surely?. think about it logically ... i could live in the south of england, and get a job in the noth of scotland, but i wuldnt expect "the government" (other taxpayers) to reimburse me beecause of this would i? i have no lagal knowledge, but it makes sense to me the way Ive explained it
i work in the construction industry and i work on different sites so im not at the same place of work so i can get form p87 from inland revenue and claim petrol allowance the company i work for does not pay me for the first 13 mile of my travel other people i know have already claimed and recieved money
