I think that I recognise a regular extra (are they still called that?) in a Tv soap as an old friend who was an actor. It would be interesting to renew contact. But how should I do that?

The simplest way would be to contact the production company, probably writing would be best, explaining why you are writing and go from there. Good luck tho, cos I tried it once and got nowhere. I saw an old work colleague being interviewed when Screaming Lord Sutch died, wrote to them to ask to be put in touch, and nothing happened. I know they never did nothing because he has been in touch since.
