mobile phone

I have put this in technology but have not replies.
I am trying to connect my mobile to computer but it keeps telling me the usb device is not recognised. Anyone have any ideas please. I have used it before but on a different computer.

Have tried that but still no good. Can't understand it. It has happened before and I have a portable usb cable which I plug in and then plug the adaptor into and usually this does the trick but not this time.

Have you tried taking out the portable usb cable out and plugging it straight into the pc

check the phone makers web site for a download to put on pc

managed to get computer to accept new hardwear but it still says phone is not connected when it is. This phone is not that old either

Have had this prob b4 with my mobile there are 2 main probs here the first one of course is you may have a faulty usb lead or it may be the usb socket ( I take it you are using usb 2 ) if you are try changing to anoither usb socket as not all of them carry a voltage for some reason or another and you will need a voltage out of the usb socket to reconice your phone and have read the answers that you have already had on here and to be honest the are all talking out of there arise

sorry of course that I forgot to ad is you must have the software installed on your com to reconise your phone or if your phone has a memory card then all you have to do is click on my computer to grt into your phone as it will reconise it as a portable hard drive....

I have installed the software and plugged in the usb cable. It says it is installed and ready to use but when I try to go into my computer, it is not showing the phone as a portable device. If I try to download music as a ringtone, it doesn't recognise my phone.
