When I was about 10 or 11 I used to own loads in this series of kids' books, which were stories but you had to solve a problem or a puzzle on each page. They had titles like "Mystery of the Inca Express" and random things like that, and were mosly illustrated cartoony pictures What were they?! It's bugging me.

Depends when you were 10 or 11 - you don't say how old you are now so difficult to guess which era you're talking about!
Might it be the Black Hand Gang series (1970's onwards)or the Usborne Puzzle Adventures (1980's onwards) -search for both on Amazon for some titles?
Question Author
Yes! Usborne puzzle adventures. Sorry, I put my age as an indication of what age they were aimed at. But thinking about it I was probably younger (born in 1983). Thanks!
