Why? Because he makes ridiculous statments like "the pope is the anti-christ" and then refuses to discuss it. He thinks that gays are, by nature, cruel to animals although he obviously cant prove it.He thinks that gay people are ill and need "curing". He believes that women should stay in violent, loveless marrages and not find happiness...
We all have a right to be stupid occasionally but this guy's abusing the privilage

No, I don't see Mani in the role. To be village idiot it is not enough to a fruit-cake you also have to be loveable to some degree. And while Mani fully fulfils the first requirement his nasty attitude towards homosexuals and divorcees and such disqualifies him on the second count.
I'd like to nominate Puddintane who, in happyred's discussion about evolution, asked the question "If we evolved from apes why are there still apes around?".
In many years of studying and discussing evolution I have heard some pretty daft questions on the subject but I think that beats them all in fatuity.
Of course, I don't know whether he/she fulfils the second requirement but we've had no evidence to the contrary yet.
