excited dogs

I have 4 dogs who get very excited when anyone comes into our home. They are really good most of the time but this is getting out of hand as my bulldog has bruised my sister in law by jumping up to greet her. Not only do they jump but they bark and crowd round the person. Tried ignoring but doesnt make any difference. Help please

Don't let them all into the room at the same time when someone new comes in. Let them in one at a time and make them sit for a fuss. If they won't (or you can't make them) don't let them in at all.

we have tried doing this and they will all sit to be greeted when alone but when they all in they via for attention. Thanks though its much appreciated
