driving ban/fine/points on licence
my son has been charged with allowing another person to drive his car without a licence and without insurance. He is due to appear in magistrates court later this month. Any ideas what sort of punishment he can expect to receive

I was found guilty of this last year, but due to the circumstances, i was luckily not given any points, i received a 250 fine & an 8 week ban. I asked for the 8 week ban instead of 6 points & was lucky. The persons insurance had run out 2 days earlier & they admitted in court that they lied to me. But since this is without a licence aswell it will obviously be worse. Also, i saw a solicitor for some free advice before going to court. If your son is really worried i would suggest he does this too. Sorry i can't help anymore than that.
my boyfriend recently went to court for driving without insurance, it had ran out 2 weeks before, i thought the courts were really harsh(since it was hes only driving offence), he recieved a 270 pounds fine and had hes licence revoked! If he wants to drive again he has to start at the beginning and get a provisional and do lessons etc, Nightmare.
