i rescue guinea pigs and last year i lost 5 in a week.
i had spoke to my vet as there were no signs.
do you have any signs or are you just finding them like that, also are they short or long haired. and are they a bit chubby?.
the reason why im asking is because mine was due to heat stroke. i had fans and alsorts, but the vet said that if they are over weight they are prone to it. on the long haired ones i had to cut all the hair short.
the weather is getting quite warm now, are they indoors or outdoors if they are out doors it can get quite warm during the day. let me know.
the average age for a g.p is about 5 to 6 years

Sorry to hear about your piggies dying. I had one last year who caught a respiratory infection very quickly and died within 24 hours. I don't know where that came from and his little friend was okay (although the vet said he would be very likely to catch it too). I too have kept guinea pigs for years and that's the first time I have had one die so suddenly. I know that they can get infections and go quickly but they are such lovable little things and it's very sad when that happens.
