Jos Stone/Amy Winehouse/Lill Allen et al that crap
Is any one else bored irgid by hearing from the media and journalists about how good Joss Stone/Amy Winehouse and Lily Allen are, and how our lives are'nt complete unless we love them? To be frank, I feel that really it's nothing new, it's pretty turgid and quite frankly they're just the current flavour of the month? Lets face it if they all went missing from society in general like in Lost, would anybody mourn their passing? They're no Ian Durys or Mick Jones' are they?So ends todays rant...

I'm sure they are all nice people and Threshers would mourn Amy Winehouses passing (her alchohol consumption is probably PR crap though she's about as much a rebel as I am and I like Neil Young) but they are God Damned winey awful excrement bilge stinking trying to be soulful but failing and making me want to cry and self harm-Bring me the needle, bring me the rope....

Sique Sique Sputnik they were real rebels and dead tough too! Hahahahahahahahahahaha sique sique sh*tbag as Ade Edmonson once said
Oh and while I'm on a rant does anyone else think apart from the occasional glimmer of true humour (Catherine Tate the first time she was on it, last year I think "Why are you so sh*t?")Comic Relief is truly unfunny or have I just got old, cynical, and realistic?

Yes i agree wholeheartedly tho i can just about stomach amy winehouses music but her personally leaves much to be desired, i dont get lily allen, shes not funny clever or even mildly entertaining and Joss Stone! Ive had more entertaining foot infections to be honest shes dull and most of her music sounds the same. Can we please add to this list of How and Why is there no Justice the greatest travesty ever, Dido!!!!!!! And so ends my rant!
Twas ever thus.
Music mdeia is about informing and influencing trends. and sometimes they are on the money, sometimes way off.
What you must always remember about popular music is how subjective it is. There are sixty-one million people in this fair isle of ours. If sixty million think Joss Stone is a whiney one-dimensional 'thirty-year-old-wino voice in sixteen-year-old-body novelty has long since worn off' saddo, but the other million buy her records, that makes her a superstar.
That's just the way it is, always has been, always will be. What you have to do is enjoy the music you like, ignore what you don't, and always be open to listening to anything new, anywhere, any time.
