Morning Happy holiday but I am feeling a real dumkopf. Please can anyone give me a really helpful hint to get going?Maybe the number 1 across for each? Is 25A across Follow on ? Does not seem cryptic enough. I know some do not have the paper but it is too complicated to write out. A great big thank you E

I reckon that 1A for A is LOW PRICED (anagram of WORLD EPIC) so that leaves "food sent back by car*" as clue for 1A for B. I've not got near that one yet, but have an "O" for the 7th letter.
Will that help?
For 25A
Bat again = FOLLOW ON
Endless stupidity = FOLL (y) + 0 (zero runs) + WON (gained)
which leaves "a job and took in a renegade" for 25A for B.
I hope some other hints come up later today from the others as this is really baffling.

The linked clues are double barrelled English place names. In grid A they have LE - eg Thorpe le Soken and in Grid B they have ON eg Upton on Severn as the link. (Those are examples not actual answers).
That's enough help for now - I'm still struggling with a few of the normal clues
Oh 1D in diagram B should be asterisked - mispirnt presumably.
