Has anyone's dog died from eating Ol' Roy dry dogfood?

Our lab died last month after eating the dry dogfood. Anyone else out there with this same situation? We live in the Louisiana region.

Yes, we really do. There are days I cannot stop crying. We filed a complaint with the FDA here in the US. Hopefully people will start to realize it may be in the dry food as well. He had all the symptoms of all the other animals that have died and all he eats is the dry food. Please let me know if you hear anything.

YES! And we are in MIssissippi. We fed our 9-year-old Lab/Chow mix Ol Roy dry food. He was very active and healthy, and died very suddenly. We noticed him breathing very hard and drooling on a Friday evening and discussed taking him to the vet on Saturday...but by 7 a.m. he was dead. This was about 6 weeks ago before any pet food recall was big news. We had no clue what happened and figured someone poisoned him. I guess you can say they did. Of course the dry food is still supposedly "safe" but I keep hearing more and more stories of dogs eating the dry food and dying. Shame on Menu Foods...I hope this bankrupts them. We have no proof since we did not keep the dog food bags or anything, and Buster did not make it to the vet before he died. We won't be joining any class action suit but I am going to add this to the FDA list so they recall the dry food. They really should just shut down Menu Foods.
LLS! I am so sorry for your loss as well. The whole reason I posted this out there was because nothing was being done about the dry food. It was hard for me to believe that it could only bein the wet food and not the dry food. We actually have the bag of food. I still have my small dog; he is a mix breed who also got sick but luckily did not die as well. Our small dog just refused to eat the food, but our lab continued to eat it although not in large amounts. They were both vomitting and we had no idea what was going on at the time. Now that we know what we know..... ughhh. And our vert kept asking us if he could have gotten into any poison. Of course all of the scandal was not released yet and we were baffled. We then just figured it to be cancer because after a while cancer will mimick the same diagnosis. And now that we are pretty sure he was poisoned we are just so sad! I refuse to give my dog any dog food at this time. Thank for posting your repsonse. Please keep in touch. We have filed a complaint with the fda last week and peta.
