were are talking about going on holiday next year in may for 10 days , we are about to have a baby soon and we have a 3 year old,the baby will be 9 months old when we go.does any one think that it is a bit soon to take a baby away and does anybody have any hints and tips about going away with small children. cheers
we took our then 3 yr old and 4 month old to cyprus. I wasnt breast feeding by then so we took steri-bottle's (disposable single use bottles). It was fine and we had a great time. Also when we just had the one, and he was 11 months we took him to greece, and that was slightly harder as he was walking and took a lot supervision. Both times my parents (the kids grandparents) came and that was fab as they looked after them lots!!!!
I have taken my kids away when they were that young. Its easier than when they are older because they stay where you put them and sleep a lot! Just be very organised and stay self catering if possible so you have a fridge etc for milk and baby food.
Hi!
My husband's nephew and wife went to America last year with their son who wasn't even 2 months old then. They said it was brilliant as he just slept the whole time and as Pam said, they stay put lol
My sister who is due in Septemeber and lives in Australia is planning on coming over to visit once their baby is born and he/she will only be a couple of months also.
I'd say 9 months is fine :o)
My dad decided to take my mum to Paris as a surprise for her birthday when I was 3 months old. She says it was tiring but they did have a good time. I was the first child though so the only one to look after at the time!
