Taking out a Mirena coil

Anyone had one taken out ? I have one and think its about time it was removed, i dont have periods anymore and havent for a long long time, also my age (50) i dont think i will need it now :)

It doesnt hurt you just feel a bit off tugging, and slight cramping afterwards. Some people feel a little feint after, but aprt from that I don't think you have nothing to worry about.
