Sky+ Question

I have just had Sky+ installed (all free) and I would like to ask a few basic questions.
When you set the link for a series does it automatically correct itself if the time of the programme is changed?
When you set the timer on a VCR you have to turn it off, is it the same with Sky or do you leave it turned on?
Any other tips or hints would be appreciated. I have the instruction book but nothing beats experience.

Yes, the time is readjusted when necessary. The Sky+ box can be on or off, as you please.
