hi, if a son lives with his father and not his mother (parents were married not yet divorced), who has the responsilbility if the son wishes to change schools? Due to travelling time?? (the mother has stated she would take the father to court if the school attended is changed). hope someone can offer an answer, thanks
Look at the childrens act, it was amended in 1991 (about). The bottom line is if a child is sufficiently able to express an opinon the courts are obliged to take this into account.
I got custody of my kids aged 10 and 8 because they wanted to live with me.
Someone needs to bang their heads together. If what's best for their son is really upmost in their minds, no way would they get the courts involved. Settle it like adults.
