It wont rev passed 3000 prm. Anyone lese had this problem and how did you solve it??

Possibly an air flow meter problem, these won't always show up as a fault in the engine ecu, so wont bring the engine warning light on

I agree with bigboots.

Of course your biggest problem tho is that you bought a Vectra!

Might be wrong but doesn`t this happen in 'limp home' mode?

Thanks all for your suggestion, it was an airflow meter problem. Totally solved the problem now. SOLD THE B****Y CAR!! :)
