to sell something on amazon do you have topay to advertise if so how much is this charge, also does anyone no the charge for ebay to sell something from there thankyou sam x
the charges on ebay are on a sliding scale - depending on how much you insert you item for (insertion fee) then how much it actually sells for (final value fee), so your question is impossible to answer cause it will depend on what you are selling and how much it sells for ... Funnily enough there is a site called www.ebay.co.uk that explains all this, and another one called www.amazon.co.uk that explains the answer to your other question!
I sell on both websites. As already said they charge according to what it sells for. On Amazon no sale no charge. On ebay there is a fee for listing, and if there are no bids you can usually list again for free. Hope this helps.
further to grasscarps answer - you can relist an item which has not sold the first time for free, but only if it then sells the second time. If it does not sell the second time they charge you the listing fee again anyway (very mean I think)
I would guess you are selling a book, dvd or CD in which case Amazon is probably your best bet but I do not know the fees on there.
Most of these things would be listed under 4.99 so your fee would be 20p to list on Ebay (without showing a photo on the lists of items or 35p with which is not necessary for that type of item). They would then charge you 3% (i think its 3% for this price region) of the final sale price
