I recently was clamped whislt parked im my apartments designated carpark. I had not received a new parking pass and was told to put a sign in the car advising you are awaiting a pass. 7am Sunday morning they clamped my vehicle around the wheel and wishbone of the car. I have since paid the release fee and I am now disputing with the building owners/landlord. Does anyone know of any websites giving info on clampers on what they can or cannot do?

They will clamp anything they can, ignoring any notes that aren't official passes. If you have in writing that you where told to put a sign in the window, in place of an awaited pass then you should be able to get the landlord to pay. However they may refuse but if you have the evidence you'll have a good chance in the small claims court.

Thanks loosehead. They admitted that I had called an a numerous occasions to order a new pass, but now they are saying that they issued them even though they have no proof.

I have sent a letter of complaint with a view to using the small claims court.
