Grass seed
I've recently sown some grass seed and followed all the instructions given but now after a week I can't see any visible change. After sowing we lightly raked over the ground as suggested so some seeds are still visible. Is this normal? Does anyone have feedback on what we should be seeing?
Thanks

When we put grass seed down I think it was about a week or so later that I saw like a tiny haze of green as the seeds started to grow. Yes you can still see the seeds on the ground.
Have you been watering enough? I was out there everyday if not twice watering :o)
Go have a closer look and you may be able to see the odd tiny blade of grass.
Hope I've been of some help :o)

Hi Lulu, A week really is'nt that long for grass seed to germinate, Ive found in the past it comes up when it's good and ready.
Some seeds showing on the surfice should be no problem, you've probably raked in the majority of it.
As ~wingnut~ says keep it well watered and hopefully soon you will see some fine hair-like blades of grass coming through. Good Luck Tbird+
