No, I honestly don't they sound revolting but judging by your post this is the first time you've tried one. If yes, were you happy to try one (not sceptical, like me) and what did you think. I Have heard they're nice but then someone said the same about battered banana....(BRB)
Having re-read your name, i think you may have tried them before (loch).
umm.. excuse me.. i'm scottish, and that doesn't mean i eat deep fried mars bars. Quite frankly the thought disgusts me, i don't know anyone who has ever tried one or who can actually stand the thought of eating one, and there is definitely not a shop that sells deep friend mars bars that i know if in a very significant radius.

unless you were joking, of course. but still... bit risky.
Sorry, pauliwauli2 no offence was intended I only thought that they had originated from Scotland thats all. When I pay a visit later in the year (Iv never been, yet) I'll be sure to post where to avoid should i find one.

yours, standing corrected.

KIDD
woah just read over my response there - very sorry, it wasn't meant to sound rude and you seem very nice!! but there are so many people that actually think deep fried mars bars are a scottish delicacy and it's just untrue.

anyway i hope you enjoy your stay in scotland! whether it be a city or in the highlands. if it's edinburgh you should go to the royal mile, castle etc.
yours, pauliwauli2 (still correct :P)

xxxxxxx
No harm done eh.. They were a brave person whoever tried the first one I bet she was welsh!
Ha-ha, Sorry i was only joking guys ;-)

Thanks for the tips I'll be staying at a place called 'Lock Awe' which looks really nice, im looking forward to it.

Ok, guys, thanks for your comments and debates... Well, by the way, I am not scottish, but French!Thought you should know ;-) My partner is Scot though, and proud of it!
is there actually a drury lane?
*gasps*
ahaha. that is soo cool!
ps. i love deep fat fried mars bars. :D
Ok - deep fried Mars bars DID originate in Scotland.

I saw people eating them late one night in Byres Road in Glasgow.
They were selling them from a chippy with -
and I SWEAR I'm not joking - chips and tomato sauce!

I've had a deep fried Bounty with pineapple ice-cream on the side -
it was lovely. Once was enough though.

Trust me - there is great food in Scotland.
Best restaurants ever.
No chip pans involved either....:-)
