I have a large fitted wardrobe and dresser unit in my bedroom. They are currently yellow with blue sponging all over them (lovely!). I think the yellow is the original colour as it's all on the insides as well but I hate it with a passion. Does anyone know of a way I can redecorate the wardrobe and dresser that will look good (aside from ripping them out). Thanks!

I wallpapered the doors of my daughters wardrobe, then covered this with a thin layer of matt varnish to protect the paper. New handles et voila! They have lasted a good five years
Best thing to do is first get Zinsser primer (from international paints) give your wardrobes a coat of this and you can basically then paint over with the colour of your choice (eggshell finish looks best) you should give it a few topcoats. You can then leave it as it is or rub the edges with gold wax to give a distressed/aged look. and like the previous answer - fir new handles.
