my inbox contains an info message that the folder could not be open because of low memory or low power. ihave system c 464mb and 1.5gb on data d.

Which totals 1.964gb, if you only have a 2gb HDD which is badly fragmented then that could be the problem. Any HDD over 50% full if not regularly defragged can cause problems.
