Thank you Crofter. I have only just seen the comment you posted last night on the homonyms thread. Praise indeed from a master!! Thank you. I have been busy all day (gardening) and am just having a respite from Araucaria :-)

SNAP! I too was gardening yesterday ~ AND many moons ago I used to do the Guardian Crossword (Finding Araucaria one of my favourite setters)! NOT what you meant I'm sure!! :o)

As for the homophones, I saw the posting and was just a little late to post answers ~ however I did manage SLIGHT & SLEIGHT and gave some thought to the last pair (with no success). Hence your BREACH & BREECH was doubly impressive. When I saw your full set of answers, I thought them praiseworthy ~ and I am not known for holding back!
