internet connection problem

my father has just phoned me with a connection problem. he is on btconnect dial up and has recently changed his phone so you have to dial 9 for an outside line ( he runs his business from home) now he cant get on the internet! i know there must be a setting somewhere so i can tell him to change it, but i cant for the life of me think where ( im not too pc friendly either!)

please can anyone help?
