I'm having my shopping delivered from asda tonight am i supposed to cheek my order while he's still there and am i supposed to give him a tip and if so how much? Or so do any of you have any views for or against home shopping? thanks
well I haven't used Asda home shopping, but have used both Tesco and Ocado (Waitrose). It was a while ago as I now take someone else shopping and do mine at the same time, but I didn't check my orders whilst the delivery person was still there, if there is a problem, you can get it sorted over the 'phone afterwards. I didn't tip the delivery guys, this is the job they are paid for.
I agree with Jules, I have had mine delivered from Tesco loads of times (I'm a lazy toad) and have never checked it whilst the driver is there nor tipped him/her.
I use Tesco, never tip, you pay a delivery charge remember!
I don't check while the driver is there, never have any problems but I know other people have had minor problems which are sorted out over the phone.
Watch out for any substituions - the driver will point them out to you- mine have been ok but know of things loked mixed herbs being substitute for mixed spice!
My friend ordered black shoelaces for her son's school shoes and was sent strawberry licorice ones!
