Welcome to you all on Week 3. This is cliffyg continuing to take over the "reigns" of wicked tongue and rogerr I am again reliably informed by crofter that the Shrubbery Squad gives new meaning to the phrase sub rosa!
Two weeks into the competition and (so far) my "stats" are as follows. I have had 52 people entering at least once and 26 (that's 50%, Pauline) have a zero score. Furthermore only six people have scored on both my weeks so 46 out of 52 entries have tasted the bitter pill of a zero week.

My third set of four words to have their links predicted should appear below at 9.00am and you are invited to predict the missing links. Each of my chosen words contains at least four letters and at most eight letters. Stray outside this range and you will be wasting one of your attempts.

The competition will officially close on Sunday Evening at 7.00pm when crofter will declare my selected words and then apply the same rules of awarding points that have been applied during earlier weeks.

With Pauline predicting my themes so well I don't want to give too much away. It has been a marathon effort for me this week.
When the little grey cells won't work, running long distances does nothing for me. To find inspiration I love to bite hazel nuts. Oh 'tis a glorious thing I ween.

Some of you have mentioned other events that are celebrated at this time of year, but no one has mentioned St George's Day on Monday!!!
I believe that Shakespeare was born and died on Saint George's Day. In view of the fact that he was probably the greatest British writer (Dramatist and Poet combined) I find this coincidence most appropriate!
I think st georges day was mentioned last week barbara when Pauline suposedly guessed the link words about st George and cliffyg supposedly had to change them,
