DELL Inspiron 2200 Function Keys

I have a Dell inspiron 2200 laptop. I have somehow altered the settings I presume, meaning my function keys, (such as volume and brightness) no longer display an icon indicating the level they are at, when I change them. When I turn volume up and down, the display that used to come up indicating this no longer appears!

I'm not a computer genius, and have no idea what I have done!!

PLease Help!!!!!

I'm no computer genius either, but found something very usefull yesterday. If you go onto the Dell website there is an option to contact to a Dell Cutomer service advisor in the top right hand corner. It takes you onto a MSN type messanger set up, you type them a question and they answer quick smart. Good Luck.

Great suggestion!! Just spoken to the technical support on the site. They managed to sort it out for me. Turned out it was the 'presentation mode' i had turned off?!!
