Children's poem about a paddling pool

I am trying to track down a short poem about a paddling pool which was in one of pair of books I remember owning as a child during the 1970s. The copies I owned had no covers to them in terms of dust jackets, but the covers themselves were a sort of cloth and one was pale
blue and one was pale pink. They were quite thick books and I seem to remember they were about A4 in size - doesn't help much I know!
I think they had a mixture of poems and stories ideal for bedtime reading in them with wonderful illustrations.

If anyone can shed any light on where I might find them, I'd be most grateful!
