I.E. is driving me nuts

Whatever programme I am working on. On many sites I am midway through doing something and I get 'program not responding, end now' I do this and lose everyting. Can someone pleeeze help me?

Stop using IE. Give firefox a whiz:

It is not likely to be IE itself. It is far more likely that you have an add-in which is causing the problem. Select Tools >add-ons and disable all of them. See if the problem disappears. If it does, you can enable each of the add-ins one by one until the problem reappears. Then disable that add-in permanently.
