thanks to all. I was sure that 13ac should have a u and not an 'e' but then 9d has an odd spelling and 42ac should only have one 'l'. Sometims I think that he just does it to keep us on our toes with the alternative spellings. Still a few more to go so I may be back for help. Ontario Ice, I should ask your help for 19ac. 19a was the very last answer that I found .. I wrongly assumed clue was asking for the real name of a particular constituency. It was only by chance that I eventually stumbled across the answer on google!
