Thank you very much Aquagility. I found this site last week and think it is wonderful as it is so friendly and helpful. It would appear that I no longer need to suffer the frustration of nearly but not quite completing the crossword. Its reassuring to know that there are like minded others re Sat GK. ps having looked at previous answers, do you know everything?
You are very kind, Ruby. But when you get to know us better you will realise that I am here on sufferance from many younger, quicker and more able cruciverbalists.
I will not mention first eleven by name for fear of hurting someone's feelings, but they know who they are!
I'm sure that I speak for all hands when I say Welcome to AB and enjoy the fun.
Wow!!!!!!!!! I didn't even know that I, my husband, my mother and my late father were cruciverbalists. Is there some protocol about some people (like me) only asking for answers but never being clever enough (in the context of crossword) of posting an answer. I am a damn good cook and could always post recipes as a return favor
The protocol is simple:
Try to put all your questions in one post
Acknowledge any help with stars or a word of thanks (in the same thread)
And don't "rubber stamp" - repeating someone's answer long after it has been given.
