Hi All. I have spoken to my mid-wife about hayfever relief and she advised not to take anything but if was really suffering I could book an appt with GP & she might prescribe something. I'm not planning to go against the advice of my mid-wife but does anyone have a suggestion of what may be safe to take and I'll check with GP.

I have heard that eating LOCAL honey really helps. Could be worth a try and won't do you any harm!
As far as I'm aware there are NO safe hayfever medicines for pregnant women. My SIL suffers really badly from hayfever and had to just put up with the symptoms during her pregnancy as her GP advised her not to take any of the usual remedies.

I have heard that the local honey thing may work too, but don't know anyone who's given it a try.
i get hayfever really badly. i used to have a hayfever injection as that was all that worked, but obviously i cant do that this year!
the local honey thing does work, i think it depends how bad your symptoms are though.
other than that there doesn't seem to be a lot you can do. wear sunglasses outside and a cooling spray over your face to cool you down.
i'm not looking forward to summer either so you're not alone!
I know this sounds daft but are you suffering yet or planning for the normal bout of hay fever. I suffer every year quite badly. However when I was pregnant twice throughout the summer the hay fever never came. it was like hormone magic i reckon.
