Unfortunately one of the side effects of chemo is fungal infections. Are you still on treatment or attending the hospital for check-ups? If so tell them about it, they may have a better remedy than your gp. To be honest, my feet have never really recovered from chemo tho'. :o(

Thx Robinia. First c:u is end of May when i will give my chaemotherapist he pleasure of looking at horridtoe nail.
Am also worried that the area of the mastectomy has gone hard - like an Amazonian breastplate
I didn't have breast cancer so I don't know about your problem there I'm afraid...are you in any pain? I hope not.
Maybe you could ring the hospital/clinic & ask to speak to someone about it & see if they could bring your appt. forward, the end of May is a long time to wait if you're worried. Don't be afraid to ask, it's what they're there for....and don't let the 'receptionists' fob you off, in my experience they like to be in control a little too much.
Take care. x
Hi yellhedgehog
Why not give the McMillan Nurses a call and tell them. They may be able to advise you if you cannot speak with your Consultant,
At least it is worth a try.
Hope you are better soon.
You should have been given a Breast Care Nurse who you could contact to discuss your mastectomy surgery queries, otherwise ring the clinic/hospital and they should let you speak to one.
I had Chemo 4 years ago and last year every toe on one of my feet went all fungal, I`m still waiting for my big toe to clear up too.

Thx Cruella and Sossie. My treatment was at the Institut Marie Curie, Paris -the "sister" hospital to the one Kylie attended. They are marvellous but it is good to have infor from fellow sufferers also. Even though this is my second time around (lumpectomy the first time) I still do not grasp all the intricacies of the darned disease, the hideous treatment nor the hard-to-liv ewith after effects.
BUT - I am stll here and able to enjoy my four grandchildren
