A planet very similar to earth and thought to be capable of sustaining life has been discovered. Despite it being 5 billion light years away, if it could be proven that life existed there, how would the discovery affect your faith?

Sorry that's curtains and not cutains in my last post.
They're the same as curtains but a bit shorter.

Haaaaaaa. Soooo pleased there's plenty of room in the Looney Bin. I've looked at all the other cults, but none of them seem quite right. It's got to be the Loonies for me!!
The Carnivores amongst us would eat them.

Eat what Brionon? The aliens or the curtains? :o)
I wonder how other life forms (aliens) keep their social structure?
Is it like a hive mentality, all acting as one?
Have they had wars with other aliens?
Do they have a government?
Is there the equivalent of an "Area 51" on their planet/s where other beings and/or craft are kept?
Do they have a perfect harmonious lifestyle and sent one of their teachers a couple of thousand years ago down to Earth?
Mmm......the mind boggles.

Be interesting to find out Luna. It would be nice to think that a more advanced civilisation would have learnt the error of its ways and is now living in a fairer, more caring and more civilised society than us.

I wonder if their worlds are split into countries with separate rulers as ours is. We always say things like 'Martians' for example. We never imagine Mars (if it were to be inhabited) to be split up into the USA of Mars, or the France of Mars, do we.

Did they send one of their teachers here 2000 years ago? I've got a book about that possibility - very interesting.
Naomi, Could you please tell me the name of it so I might take a look? If it's still available, that is.
Question Author
Thank you very much for taking the time to find it.
Much appreciated Naomi.

I definitely take a look at that.

You're welcome Luna.
Not too many people answered the faith part of your question, naomi, I noticed. I sometimes wonder why believers don't question the notion of us being created by god given that there is proof that dinosaurs existed berfore we ever did.
Question Author
Hello Styley, there's certainly a distinct lack of response from believers.
