My Husband and i got into a fight begining of march which resulted on him assaulting me and getting arrested. He has had numerous magistarates date but he has now been sent to crown court. At first i left him but we now found out his anger is an illness thet he cant controll and is now seeking medical help. We were told when he appeard in court yesterday that he could face 10 months. DO u think this is likey know that its been roven he has a serious problem and its only medical care that can help him??
Is it the first time he has hit you then? and was it you that had him arrested as the police do have the power to arrest even if you say you don't want to press charges.
What has your solicitor said about this as it may have a bearing, i don't know your history with each other ie aguments, fights, arrest etc, but if its serious enough for the CPS to send it to crown court, things don't look to good for your husband
its never happened before, but he has always had a temper just never sort help b4, he just gets moody over alot of things. THe neighbours calle dth police and they arrested him. He has never hit me b4 and he has no criminal record. WE are going up to london next week to see a anger managment person, Its stupid as the probahtion officer said what he did wasnt serious enough to get put on a anger management programm or a program to re habillitate but its seriouse enough to go to crown... ??? His lawyer said the fact we are back together may help to show that im not scared ir feel threatend which could help and also if we can prove he is gettin help then is may help a bit.. Its such a mess im having a breakdown, he said he doesnt care if he goes to jail as he deserves it!
