On my trelis for the past 2 years I have had spiders webs/nests full of spiders eggs.As fast as I sweep them away they seem to appear immediately. They are near my kitchen and just looking at these webs make me keep scratching myself.I imagine them crawling all over me.Please somebody HELP me, there must be something I can throw over the trelis fence to stop them.I hope to move within a month but dont really want to leave this problem for the new owners.
Spray normal lemon cif or flash spray on the actual nest/web and the spider, will think its been contaminated and leave.
If you just brush i away, teh spider will assume that the wind blew it away and will always make a new web/nest. using water won't work either as the spider will simply think that rain washed it away. You need to use a chemical.
Are they actually doing any harm? If you get rid of all the spiders, you'll be plagued with flies, especially if they're near the kitchen window! And the spiders provide food for the birds and other animals, so all part of life's wonderful ecosystem! You can hardly clear your garden of wildlife - and once the spiders hatch they will all blow away on threads of silk (read Charlotte's Web!) so perhaps you could accept them as your tenants and live and let live?
