hi just wonderin if anyone can tell me if i am entitled to claim anything evan though i've not been working during my pregnancy?

You cant get jobseekers allowance unless you are actively seeking a job.
Once baby is born you can claim child benefit and depending on what your partner earns you may be entitled to child tax credits and working tax credits

If you have a working partner you can claim Contribution based jobseekers allowance but need to be actively seeking work, to get maternity Allowance you need to have worked for 26 weeks out of the 66 weeks up to your due date,Income Support is payable if you are a lone parent, if you are too ill to work you can claim Incapacity Benefit if you have been paying National Insurance for the last 3 tax years. The maternty Grant is a one off payment for �500 but you need to be in receipt of an income based benefit or Working Tax Credit/Child Tax Credit (full rate). look on www.jobcentreplus.gov.uk.
