i dont really like playing these type of games, and what youve gotta ask yourself is WHY is he your EX? but if you just want to guage a reaction - then walking in with another bloke might just give you a clue as to wether its worth persuing or not? Bear in mind he might be there with another girl (with the same plan in mind you never know)
My best advice would be to just go with a load of great mates and have a ball, and dont even think 'MEN' ??

Just be honest, go and speak to him and ask if there's any chance of you getting back together. If he says no, then walk away with your head held high, that way you won't look desperate!

go to the party and just enjoy yourself if there is any chance of you getting back with him he will approach you. if you are happy and having a laugh he will want to join in

wow sounds like u are still on the rebound and so hurt you would do anything to get back with him to stop the pain,
