I was given a combination oven for Christmas. It's a microwave/convection oven/grill/combination oven. The instructions are a bit baffling and I don't know where to start!! Do I treat the convection oven like my main oven in terms of timing? In other words, will something that takes 30 mins in my main oven also take 30 mins in the convection oven? Also, if you use the combination option, so part microwave part convection, how do you work out how long things will take? There are a few examples in the manual but not many.

The convection cooks a bit faster than your main oven, but also more even. These are really good.... as you use much less energy to cook.

The combination option basically cooks the inside of food at the same time as the outside is being cooked, so you need to really try it with different things to see what happens, but it is a lot quicker to cook with this option.
