private number plates

I want to get my partner a private reg for his birthday. His name is Dave, his friends call him Macca. I am unsure if to get a reg that reads MD07 DAV (he is MD of his company) or M900 CCA. I wanted M4 CCA but it is far too expensive, and M444 CCA is no longer available. Which looks the best? Or any other suggestions would be great!

Linzi84. I have a private plate, which is a reference to my 'cat like' alter ego! Only myself and my husband are privy to what it means. I think that the private reg can only work well on a new and expensive car. My parents have had the Reg 'BEL 3' for about 30 yrs. It has been on some great cars. Now they are in their 70's and it is on their Honda Jazz and it looks wrong! It is probably more expensive than the car!!! I cringe inwardly when I see it. However, this may have something to do with my hatred of the Honda Jazz. It's a car for the oldies, that's for sure. Next time you see one, check out the driver, he or she will be 60 plus!!

Hmmm, i have a private plate and everyone does notice it. Its not exactly what i wanted but it will do for now. Until my time of power comes...

Don't need to worry about what car it will be going on, it's a brand new Porsche Boxter. Sorry to those who don't like private reg's but it is personal opinion and my man would really appreciate one. Thanks for your answers so far, keep em' coming!

As I said before, personal regs are ok in my book. I don't think MD07 DAV or M900 CCA are specail enough, though.
