hair color problem

i died my hair a light black and it has faded to a really dark brown and you can see the red that i had previously, starting to come through. how do i find a color for my roots that will match closely to the brown/black that my hair is now and i wanted to know what i could use to get red highlights. can i die over my now dark color?

just buy a dark brown it should be fine

if you go to a store l.ike boots or superdrug there is a hair dye can't think of the name but will get bk on that. it comes with a brush just for the roots and it will blend with all hair dyes so that will work n in superdrug or wilkinsons you can buy a packet or box of special dye thats comes with a cap ( again will get bk 2u with names and brands) it comes in loads of funky colours n will work over coloured hair
