during a recent smear, the nurse was quite alarmed that i started bleeding during the test. although she said it was nothing to worry about. she also asked if i had regular tummy ache, which i dont, but after the smear i had pain for a few days. so should i be worried?

Hi kitten I have had the same thing in the past. But the doctor told me it was because the lining was getting thinner properly due to menapause .And the test was negitive. I do not know how old you are but I wouldnt worry too much if I was you. Also about the tummy ache ,I am not saying you imagined it but minds can play tricks and it could have been because you was thinking about it.
hi kitten_uk2, i had this prob a year ago and was promptly sent to hospital but dont panic cos my GPsends everyone there! the consultant i saw said i was absolutely fine and that some women do bleed as they get older and was fed up with nurses at GP surgeries scaring perfectly healthy women when they are clearly not trained to be a gynaecologist!
hope this has eased ur concerns.
